A new procurement leader might be the Chief Procurement Officer, Purchasing Director, Head of Procurement or similar. Or it might be leader of a team, however large or small, including project teams. Even a single–person Category Manager is the leader of their category. Most of our remarks are based on a middle to senior level manager, but many of the comments would apply to anyone in any leadership position in the broadest sense.
